Stay Fresh and Green!

How does one stay fresh and green - full of life and vigor?

SIT.

Sit with your Heavenly Father.

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"

"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed - or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." - Luke 10:38-42 NIV

GROW ROOTS.

Feed yourself His words to get to know Him. Keep His word hidden in your heart.

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11 NIV

STAY PLANTED.

Stay planted on God's road.

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who medicates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither - whatever they do prospers. Psalm 1:1-3

Sit. Grow roots. Stay planted. Repeat.

SHARE THE FRUIT!

Don't forget...as God continues to make you fresh and green, allow your fruits to fall to others.

Share the fruits of the Spirit that he has given you.

Step out with love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Be strong, sturdy and unwavering like a tree.

Be bold.

Share what He has done for you.

So that others can sit, grow roots, stay planted and share the fruit!
