God is Always with you!!
Have you ever tried to walk upstream, against the current? It can feel like you are pushing through mud - trudging and pushing forward. Your legs feel heavy and as hard as you try, you find it difficult to move forward. This is what it can feel like when we try to do life on our own. It can be a daily, minute-by-minute struggle.
Matthew 26:19 says…..Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it (life) is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” Matthew 26:19 (NLT)
Everything...(all inclusive) is possible!!! Wow, what a promise when we rely on God; trusting Him in everything
Romans 15:13 (NLT ) “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
What does trusting in God feel like, allowing Him to be in control? Imagine being on an inner tube on a lazy river. You jump on the inner tub and allow the current to take you downstream. No striving. Just trusting. Feeling weightless and protected. All the baggage is gone. Left behind. No cares or worries.
Psalm 55:22 (NLT) “Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the Godly to slip and fall."
Wow! That's our good, good Father!!!
So many times, when I try to do things on my own, I feel like I am hitting a wall (pushing against the current.) But, when I meditate on God's Word, I’m reminded in Zechariah 4:6, so, he said to me, This is the word of the Lord (to Zerubbabel) ‘Not by (man’s) might nor by (man's) power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. This reminds me that I am not alone; it’s God's power working in and for me. God is on my side!
When you jump on the "inner tube" depend on God and allow His Spirit to guide and work through you!!
Psalm 73:23 (NIV) Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. Psalm 73:23 NIV
